I'm Beverly — a writer, a poet, and someone who has always believed that the most honest things are the ones we almost didn't say.
I started writing the way most people start: quietly, privately, in notebooks that weren't meant for anyone else. Then something shifted. The poems stopped feeling like secrets and started feeling like invitations.
Define Love? is my first full-length collection. It took three years, several cities, and more late nights than I can count. It is not a love story. It is a record of questions — the kind that don't resolve, only deepen.
I write for the people who feel things they can't name. For the ones who read a line and think: yes, that. Exactly that. I write because language is the closest thing I have to proof that something happened.
On Writing
don't do it for the plot. do it for the poetry.
I started writing poetry as soon as I learned not every poem had to rhyme — around eight years old. I wrote poems for friends and family. It came naturally. There was a time when I stopped sharing my poems but I still wrote. I've decided to share again. Thanks for coming, I hope you found something here to enjoy.
Thank you for being here. It means more than you know.
